A SoCal native, growing up in San Diego and attending UCI and USC, she brought a strong interest in Ultrasound and Medical Education to the site. Editor Spotlight: Manuel Celedon
Manuel Amando Celedon Lopez (aka MAC or Manny) is one of our prolific section editors and actively involved with WikEM at HarborUCLA where he is also an Emergency Medicine Resident. Manuel immigrated to San Diego at the age of 12 from his native town of Guadalajara, Mexico. After finishing his B.S from UCSD, he worked as a clinical researcher for the NASH Clinical Research Network before moving on to medical school at UCLA.
His commitment to medical education began long before writing for WikEM, when he served as a chapter author for the USMLE review book, Crush Step 1 and was an instructor for the Princeton Review. When not practicing his basketball skills on the courts of sunny California, editing WikEM, or working in the ED, you’ll find him as a resident contributor for HippoEM.
