Today, with the launch of our new iOS 8 app we have made our first paid product.  As the wiki grows, financial support is crucial for the community’s success and sustainability.   However, at the core of WikEM is open and free access to information.  The information on the wiki belongs to the world and will always remain free.  Access to the content both online and offline will also always remain free.   We use 100% of the funds from products like our new list and favorites feature to support technical costs as well new feature development.

We can’t wait to share all the great ideas for the future we have for the WikEM community and can only do it with all of you.

iOS 8

Our current app for iOS does not work correctly on iOS 8.  We are actively preparing an update. If you have updated to iOS 8 then please use the main site which will be optimized for mobile viewing and editing.  If you can wait a week to update then I would encourage everyone to remain with iOS 7 until we send a notification that the app is update.

September Journal Club: HACA Trial

This month we are going to be reviewing the original hypothermia trial, the HACA: Hypothermia after Cardiac Arrest Trial. This trial started it all, along with the Bernard Trial back in 2002.  Just as we have added thrombolysis for moderate PE trials to our wiki, we will be building out the hypothermia after cardiac arrest evidence base.
